As of tomorrow evening, following Portshowlio clean up, I will have completed all the necessary work for my first year at SCCA. I’d like to have something to profound to say, but at the moment I’m still processing everything, and have a wall of side work slowly piling up in front of me. So, long and short, thanks to the faculty and my classmates for making everything possible. Back to work.
Working with techniques learned in my classes as well as my possibly misguided intuition.
Flyer for a show in Portland on 6/20. Again exploring aligning to a columnar grid, and then breaking it. All type was most certainly manipulated.
This was a project for my Graphic Production class. Most certainly learned how to better select, mask, and color correct images.
Below is a six page editorial layout for type class. Wanted to play of some common aesthetics of technology and automotive publications. Used big margins, modern type, and punchy red for accent.
Chewing gum packaging. The chewing gum was also meant to help alleviate cold and flu symptoms.
Exploring methods of type integration.
Here’s my final iteration of the ITS style poster for type class. Not exactly happy with the final result but I did enjoy the process of exploring alignments, type block interactions, and the significance of color.
Poster iteration for type class. Our assignment was to create a poster in the style of the ITS using provided copy. Still in progress.
