Vivo Cleaning Products

Posted by in Uncategorized

For our last project in Packaging I created a line of cleaning products. We were allowed to choose our own demographic, and there has been a lot of conversations about that in school lately. Most of us tend to head toward our own demographic, or the demographic of someone close to us. I decided for this project to try to steer away from that. I also wanted to reach outside the normal cleaning product demographic by designing with men in mind. Specifically young men who live in condos. So I…read more

Branding…the school?!??? WIP

Posted by in Uncategorized

Seattle Central Creative Academy has been growing and changing, and has decided it’s ready for some new branding… So of course they assigned us first year students, for our final project, to make a logo and advertising for the school. My group had a vision for the schools presence right away. We knew we wanted to create a colorful intriguing online presence, that would bring potential students in the door. We also are pretty tired of filming and seeing videos featuring students, so we wanted to make this last project super…read more

Modular Grid Mailer WIP

Posted by in Uncategorized

Dear Mailers, I usually just toss you directly in the bin. For this I am sorry. But maybe if you were prettier I would keep you. Love, Melody   For our typography final we are designing a mailer and a website using modular grids. Here is my first draft for the inside spread for the mailer. I wanted to present the information in a poster style that maybe a gardener would want to keep and maybe  hang above their potting table. After I get this locked in I will work on…read more

Chewing Gum for PMS relief WIP

Posted by in Uncategorized

For our second assignment in packaging we were given the task of designing a gum packaging for a specific demographic for the upcoming brand Pur Gum. We pulled our demographics out of a hat and I ended up with pms relief. There s not currently a pms relief gum on the market, so that opened up the possibilities of what this gum could be. My automatic response was to go with something cheeky and cute, maybe cartoonish, but I held myself back and made a gum with Chinese Medicinal…read more

Wine Labels

Posted by in Uncategorized

For our first packaging assignment we were given the task of designing a wine label for the next generation of wine drinkers. We each were randomly assigned an existing label to redesign, I was given 14 Hands Winery. A fairly recognizable brand, 14 Hands already has a pretty solid branding   The inspiration for 14 Hands wines recalls a time when wild mustangs once freely roamed the hills of eastern Washington State. These small horses, measuring a scant 14 hands high – a “hand” being equivalent to a man’s palm…read more

Seattle Foundation Video WIP

Posted by in Uncategorized

For our first project in New Media this quarter, we are making a video for the Seattle Central Foundation.  I am happy to be working with some of my fellow  overachievers on this project, because we decided to do the whole thing in After Effects.  Thats right, no live action anything, all computer animation!! So far our process has been really great. Because this was going to be a tough project we have been doing a lot of planning and prepping, so I don’t have too much to share…read more

Spring Break After Effects Project

Posted by in Uncategorized

Over Spring Break I went to Idaho to visit family, finally slept a normal amount of hours and I worked on this after effects project. As a huge Ira Glass fan I have always admired this quote, and when Jill shared a couple of videos made for it this year I thought it would be fun to make one myself. It was a great opportunity to grow my After Effects skills without any pressure.
