Polycam 3D – Project No.02

My fiance is not pleased.

This week, I was to create a 3D model using the app Polycam and then augment it into reality. I was to interact with it, but the feature does not work on my current phone model.

What I intended to do was to interact with my model of my fiance, starting with looking from behind her and then slowly revealing her face. She would surprise me with her sour look, and I knew I would be in trouble. I fix this by feeding her snacks of various kinds, and then she comes out into the scene surprising the viewers. She would then be upset because I’m feeding a clone of her instead of interacting with the actual her. The camera zooms in on her face and the model’s face. The scene ends.

Using Polycam was enjoyable and I can see how far technology has come. It not only creates 3D models of objects, but scenic views as well. I can see myself using Polycam as a tool for future projects or even to create a memory of something I want to record.

Music Poster Project No.01

Hi, world! I am Tuan Trinh (he/him) and this is my blog for my school. I attend Seattle Central Creative Academy (SCCA) and this will be my first year. For my first blog, I was assigned a music poster for a Musician named underscores (styled in all lowercase). She is an artist who mixes pop, indie rock, punk, and EDM to create a unique sound that is both unique and underrepresented in the music world. She is gaining more recognition in the world of hyperpop. An example of her genre is the song “Locals (Girls like us) [with gabby start].

For my poster, I wanted to keep the mystery of who is underscores and invite the viewer to come closer and check out who she is as a music artist.

She is shown wearing a hat in her promotional photos for her current tour. The hat has very pronounced eyes that draw attention to it and I wanted to make this an element for the poster. There is a mystery to her in both of her current release albums because it doesn’t really show her face. I wanted to keep this mystery in the design because her music and songs in the albums tell who she is as an artist. I kept her name in lowercase and added the event space and date underneath it.
