This week, I was to create a 3D model using the app Polycam and then augment it into reality. I was to interact with it, but the feature does not work on my current phone model.
What I intended to do was to interact with my model of my fiance, starting with looking from behind her and then slowly revealing her face. She would surprise me with her sour look, and I knew I would be in trouble. I fix this by feeding her snacks of various kinds, and then she comes out into the scene surprising the viewers. She would then be upset because I’m feeding a clone of her instead of interacting with the actual her. The camera zooms in on her face and the model’s face. The scene ends.
Using Polycam was enjoyable and I can see how far technology has come. It not only creates 3D models of objects, but scenic views as well. I can see myself using Polycam as a tool for future projects or even to create a memory of something I want to record.
