In my career in marketing, I worked for Zumiez for 3 to 4 years doing event marketing. I feel like three of the things I showcase most were, Invent and Simplify, Ownership, and Customer Obsession.
I feel like where I showcased all three was Customer Obsession, Invent and Simplify, and Ownership was through my position of creating the best experience that would be a mind-blowing experience for both our customers and brand. One of those being is taking the Zumiez brand into online event streaming and being the one of the first of the few in action sports to enter in the realm during the pandemic. Making sure our customer who are stuck at home can still experience the culture of the brand. As well building a system and organizing the program to be usable other members of the marketing team.
Another example of ownership and customer obsession was the first event I ran and help the concept for Zumiez. Where I created the marketing concepts and placements along with building and sourcing the activations.
A thing I struggle with is “Insisting on the Highest Standards”. The reason is I am sometimes not the loudest in the room or get discourage when I don’t feel heard or understood the first time around when in midst of team brain storm. Even though I alway believe doing right the first time have found myself battling hire up in more than occasional to thrive for more or invest in more to be able to receive more.
