Alki – West Seattle

Week 5 Assignment: AR Panels

For this assignment, we decided as a team that we would be working on “Neighborhoods” since we all agreed that Seattle has so many spots that are very interesting and that each neighborhood has its own culture/dversity and amenities. The neighborhood that I chose was Alki, specifically where the Statue of Liberty is. It’s one of my first favourite spots since I arrived to this city.

Our panel scheme is based on information. We gathered all the information we thought it may be helpful and interesting for people when they’re around these neighborhoods such as landmarks, restaurants, museums, bars and other attractions. We also decided to add a fun/interesting fact about the neighborhood.

For my panels I choose to work on Adobe Illustrator to build my graphics and text. I took a picture of the Statue of Liberty in Alki and downloaded decorative gifs to animate my photo. The color palette was chose based on analogous colors (Green) because we relate this color to nature and Since Seattle has so many green areas we thought It was a good fit.
