I would like to work in Sweden because it is a country that aligns with many of my perspectives in both the professional and social sense. I appreciate the organization of the city and the available resources. I have lived there before, and I would have loved to stay to further my studies and eventually secure a job. However, due to personal reasons, I had to leave. Now, with all the knowledge and experiences I have gained in the professional field and as an independent individual, I aspire to advance my career in this country and take advantage of all the benefits it offers
In a more personal sense, my sister lives there, and I know that we would provide mutual support for each other. Additionally, I find the language to be wonderful to speak and converse in.
For this assignment, we decided as a team that we would be working on “Neighborhoods” since we all agreed that Seattle has so many spots that are very interesting and that each neighborhood has its own culture/dversity and amenities. The neighborhood that I chose was Alki, specifically where the Statue of Liberty is. It’s one of my first favourite spots since I arrived to this city.
Our panel scheme is based on information. We gathered all the information we thought it may be helpful and interesting for people when they’re around these neighborhoods such as landmarks, restaurants, museums, bars and other attractions. We also decided to add a fun/interesting fact about the neighborhood.
For my panels I choose to work on Adobe Illustrator to build my graphics and text. I took a picture of the Statue of Liberty in Alki and downloaded decorative gifs to animate my photo. The color palette was chose based on analogous colors (Green) because we relate this color to nature and Since Seattle has so many green areas we thought It was a good fit.
This was a really fun project to work on, I choose as my object a character from one of my favourite movies, “Spirited Away” I took around 91 pictures from every angle I could and then select the medium optimisation which is recommended for phones. I also selected to “mask” since my object was small and had a lot of details.
Once I got the model I could launch ir with the AR view at the begging, my screen would just freeze and go black, but then I started moving (walking) with the camera open and it worked.
For my video story I choose to make something funny related to a quote that nowadays is very used “But first, let me take a selfie”.
I have opted to provide an evaluation of AR Drawing: Sketch and Paint, primarily due to my pursuit of discovering novel and more user-friendly methods for instructing children in the art of drawing, while mitigating their potential frustration. Drawing has been an area of personal experience for me, and I believe that this experience equips me with the necessary foundation to critically assess whether this application possesses the capacity to yield tangible and effective outcomes.
First Impressions: When you start using the app, it kicks things off by asking a few questions to figure out why you’re using it and how good you are at drawing. The interface is pretty easy to get the hang of. It shows you drawings based on what you like, and you can always add more to it. The interface is simple and clean, making it a breeze to find your way around.
When you pick what you want to draw, the app brings up a tutorial video to help you set up your device. It also gives you a screen with all the tools you’ll need for your selected image, like opacity, size, and position controls. Plus, it includes handy extras like zoom and flash options.
There’s also a separate screen for adding text to your creation. You can choose from different fonts and personalize your text in your preferred style.
In the Pro version, you get some neat perks. You can tap into the AI character generator, which is super handy when you’re after particular features or objects. On top of that, you can upload your own images and draw them while capturing the process. It’s a pretty cool option, but if you’re not keen on shelling out for the app, the free version is quite worthwhile. It offers a bunch of images and plenty of opportunities for practice.
I made this card for my sister who lives in another country. I wanted to cheer her up with this animation. That’s why I included a personalized message for her and a short part of our favorite song.
I found challenging trying to think in layers and organize each element according to the timeline of each trigger or actions I wanted to achieve. I had some troubles sharing the first time because all the element were showing since the start but then I finally understood how to properly share the AR (hiding the elements and only showing the “start” elements).
My Assigned artist was Rico Nasty, I had never heard about this artist so I had to do some research to see what her style was. I found out that she uses a lot of contrasting colours with black, such as red + black.
I also watched her newest videoclip where I could find her logo/name and also it gave an idea of what style I was aiming to achieve.
I decided to use a glossy dripping black liquid simulating the aesthetic of her website cover photo, I used the fonts she uses on her website too, that way her followers can recognise and relate the poster to her and I decided to go for a more dark/low-key look and decided to add a QR code with her newest videoclip.
