The Blender project was one of the most interesting and fun projects I worked on at Seattle Central.
A big reason for that was my great team – Liz and Walker. I really enjoyed working with them. We didn’t know each other before this project, but we quickly became friends and started working on our film, “The Prize Poodle.” The horror story about an arrogant poodle cursed by a talking mirror.
We envisioned this story as a mystical horror tale. Liz and Walker acted in it. Liz played the arrogant poodle, while Walker was her hairdresser. They both did an incredible job in their roles!
The hardest part of the project was writing the story. We had a few different versions, but we combined them into one story.
On the day we started filming, I was nervous because I didn’t want to let my team down. Liz and Walker trusted me and believed in my work with the camera, sound, and editing.
We had a small problem with our microphones running out of battery, but we fixed it quickly and didn’t have any other issues. We finished filming fast and then spent a lot of time editing. The hardest part was editing a scene with a talking mirror, which took a long time to get right. I experimented with color correction as well. I wanted our video to have a cold, bluish tone. I also spent a lot of time selecting music for this film. I believe that this helped us create the creepy atmosphere of our video. Overall, it took me two days to edit the video.
In the end, I finished the video, and my team loved it! I’m so thankful to Liz and Walker for their support. I had a great time working with them and would love to do it again!
