This week in New Media we heard from Mara Stokke. She is an experiential designer and a graduate of Seattle Central Creative Academy. An experiential designer is someone who uses the art of design to tell stories through the use of space. This week in New Media our assignment was to tell a story of our own through the use of space. For this project I decided to use the space of the men’s bathroom on the fifth floor. The objective of my design is to encourage productivity. I designed a graphic depicting a face, that was heavily inspired my the poster for the movie “House”. My goal with my design was to reduce use of the bathroom with an off putting graphic and encourage students to spend more time in the classroom.
