One of the things that I love about guest speaker shows are that we have opportunity to meet with successful designers every week and getting inspire by their story. Guest speaker this week is Jessica Aceti, a multi-talented designer who has worked in variety of creative disciplines such as board game design, music video production, packaging design, app design, marketing campaigns for Starbucks etc. I was so impressed with the music video that Jessica produced for Tacocat.
I know creative is something that we must train in daily. In the summer, I’ve challenged myself to do daily poster and that helped boosting my creative a lot. I love collecting sneaker and love music so I’m always wanting to merge these two hobbies with graphic design together. Most of designs that I make are related to sneakers and music.
As a graphic designer with an intense love for sneakers, I would love to use my graphic design skills to contribute to the sneaker industry. I would take any chance to work in any sneaker company to create sneaker poster, magazine design, or illustration for their brand. I used to spend over 15 hours long to custom a pair of sneakers, my sneaker illustration luckily got top 3 in League Innovation Award. Get job in a sneaker company is something I should consider of.
I have passionate with guitar and used to think that I would go to music school and spend the rest of my life in the music industry. However, life doesn’t goes easy like what I’ve thought, there are still a lot of things I need to think of than just live in with my own passion. But fortunately, graphic design comes to connects all my hobbies. We don’t have to be a musician to contribute for music industry. Here are a few music posters and album cover that I made.
