- We decided to focus on several neighborhoods in seattle and do sort of a virtual walking tour. I chose the seattle central building itself.
- I mostly used google slides to create my project. Our group used a custom old timey looking template that I think really made the whole thing feel complete

Aero AR Project
After class I played with the aero project for a bit and added a bunch of stuff. My favorite bit being the spinning sun.
I wish I did a more original idea but I did really enjoy how this came out.
AR Poster
I created a fairly simple poster of the red room from Twin Peaks. When hovered over it plays a sort of jump scare from a game called Alan Wake 2 which is heavily inspired by twin peaks.
For whatever reason text wont appear on top of this like I intended so its less of a poster and more of a picture.
I downloaded the video, attempted to convert it to a GIF but instead I edited it a bit in Davinci Resolve and exported as a GIF.

The Grippers
You ever have trouble with not slipping in the studio? no? too bad I solved the issue.
These shoes have pins on the bottom of them. For optimal studio floor scratching and destruction of electrical cords.
Blade and Sorcery is an early access VR game. It’s main draw is its physics based combat.
I less want to review the game (which I believe is almost perfect) and I more so want to talk about how it effect our brains.
For as long as video games have been a thing, the media has been blaming it for acts of violence. If Call of Duty existed during the cold war you bet that Fox news would have blamed the Cuban missile crisis on it.
Blog Assignment #6
Fair warning, this blog post is very sassy. But I enjoyed writing it.
So, I dislike the super bowl and everything it stands for. This includes the ads. The commercials this year were especially insane and surreal. I chose the ones that exemplified this the most. This assignment reminded me why I will never do any commercial or corporate work. I would rather be broke and dead.
Anyway!
I watched
Drumstick
Doordash
Microsoft Copilot
StateFarm
Popeyes
I’m choosing to tackle Popeyes and Drumsticks because they both disturbed me deeply.
Popeyes
So Ken Jeong is unfrozen (Why was he frozen?) Popeyes is somehow shoe horned into it. Then we go into a montage of the most random assortment of clips to the sound of the song Turn Down for What.
PROS
Ken Jeong is in community. I like community so that’s a pro I guess. That’s why they hire these people.
It’s fast paced, gets to the point quickly.
CONS
It… well it makes zero sense. I’m left with questions, however the questions are not interesting enough for me to remember this commercial.
It hardly shows the actual product in a satisfying light. It also implies drones can give me popeyes. I do not think this is true.
Drumsticks
So Eric Andre is on a plane, somebody asks for a doctor… a doll then raises his hand? Then he gives Eric Andre a drumstick from his suitcase of them and everybody is happy. Eric Andre doesn’t seem like anything is wrong with him. Why did he need a doctor? Why is this doll alive? Everybody on the plane is then ignoring this man in distress and eats the drumsticks.
PROS
Ice Cream is an easy sell.
Eric Andre. I already know him and know him to be funny.
CONS
So… my assumption from this commercial is that this doll is some sort of cosmic being, he brainwashes these people on the plane with some sort of aura. The people then become a collective hivemind of this cosmic god. And I think Eric Andre is unaffected. This is a con because it makes me fear Drumsticks more so then wants them. This commercial is extremely disturbing even if you disregard my Cosmic Being theory.
The editing is jarring and I never get a good look at the product because it keeps cutting back to the creepy doll.
