This is another case of me not managing my time very well. I had a much bigger theme I wanted to execute- In color of course. But my driving theme was about us running out of time to stop things from getting to a point where we can’t go back.
I would’ve gone with a more realistic illustrations but I thought a more cartoonish look would be more eye catching with more vibrant colors
I got into crotchet about a year ago, and since then, I’ve never attempted to make a flower. Not until mothers day. I was too broke to get my mom the bouquet she wanted and even if I did have the money for them, they would die.
So instead, I opted to use the yarn that I had and make her a bouquet of roses that would never die.
I really wanted to do much more with this design- The pattern at the top is the pattern that makes up the rose itself, to make the rose look, you roll up the whole pattern after finishing. I wanted to implement that somehow but I ran out of time so I just chose to include the most important aspects of my concept.
I’ve been watching Avatar The Last Air Bender lately, and a on of the best characters of the show who always carries wisdom and makes peoples lives better is Uncle Iroh… who loves tea! It was even a dream of his to own a tea shop, and I thought, what if he was able to take it on the go.
Granted tea food trucks aren’t very popular/ not really around at all, but in my opinion, it’s a gap in the market that needs to be filled.
As for the design itself, as much as I wanted to draw from the show and cultivate the design around Chinese culture, I felt as though it really wasn’t my place it emulate something I haven’t done enough research into- so instead I decided to go a more comedic route and tie in a pun
I really wanted a dog bowl inspired by dogs deepest desires and wants- and a big thing all dogs want and desire is a big open space to run around and play
As someone who has been in a wheat field however, they are immensely uncomfortable and scratchy, so this marketing is more so towards the type of dog the bowl is for versus the field in general. It’s only for golden dogs lol.
