Post 1 – Spring Quarter

Guess Speaker: Seneca

So the 3 websites I chose are:

https://www.phixclothing.com/en-us/collections/clothing

https://www.aarp.org

https://rollingstones.com/

  1. Phix Clothing’s website immediately show you products available when you enter the site.

I suppose this company is based out of England but being in the US it has a little American Flag on the top of the nav bar

The top nav bar never changes no matter what page you’re on

2. AARP‘s site is a little messy, as soon as you click “What We Do” on the top nav bar it directs you to another page so the navigation isn’t seamless.

The signature red is easy to read, they have an enormous “Join” and “Renew” button on the site which directs you to similar looking pages. To someone who doesn’t use the internet often it might be a bit confusing.

I like that the site chose to do a bold font on all the articles to someone with impaired vision could see it better.

3. My final site is The Rolling Stones website. Oh did you know they’re touring and they’ll be in Seattle in May? First thing I noticed is that the tour is sponsored by AARP when you enter the site that’s what you’ll see along with a cool logo.

Not seamless experience when you push on the button to shop for Stones merch on the top nav bar you get a whole other tab with a different looking website.

Same when you press on the “Access All Areas” button the website layout completely changes. Almost doesn’t seem like it’s part of the site.
