The Puppy Bowl Was Better

The Superb owl also happened. Here are some ads:

1. CeraVe & branding lead up: CeraVe’s ad effectively built anticipation through its branding approach, engaging viewers before the actual commercial aired.

2. Ice Spice’s Introduction of Starry: Ice Spice successfully introduced its new product, Starry, a fake Sierra Mist, generating curiosity and interest among the audience.

3. Alaska Airlines’ Depressing Ad: The Alaska Airlines ad missed the mark by portraying a message of luxury through paying more money, which felt out of touch, especially given recent aviation safety concerns.

4. Temu’s Catchy Tune: Temu’s ad left a lasting impression with its catchy tune that resonated with viewers, ensuring it stayed memorable long after the Super Bowl. 🤮

5. Seahawks’ Playful Ad: The Seahawks’ ad, featuring Seahawks as actual birds, was charmingly silly and brought a delightful twist to the typical sports ad formula.

As for the Super Bowl past ad:

Betty White Snickers 2010 Ad

– Successfully conveyed the message that hunger can change one’s demeanor, emphasizing the relatability of the situation.

-Utilized humor effectively, with Betty White’s presence adding an extra layer of entertainment and appeal.

Overall, the Betty White Snickers ad remains memorable for its relatable premise and comedic execution, making it a standout in Super Bowl ad history.

Crafting Unique Symbols

Q1 I was given a production project where I was challenged to create symbols representing pairs of contrasting words within a designated system. My words pairings were heavy & light, easy & hard, natural & artificial.

Before jumping onto the computer, I sketched ideas for each word pair. The initial sketches served as the foundation for the entire project, providing a tangible starting point for refinement.

Each sketch underwent careful scrutiny, with a focus on refining the concept and ensuring its coherence within the designated system. This stage was crucial in honing the visual language that would communicate the essence of each word.

I corresponded with my instructor to get feedback on three occasions. The collaborative effort ensured that the symbols resonated not only with my vision but also with the intended audience.

The final stage involved translating the approved sketches into a digital format. Using Adobe Illustrator, I built my symbols out of basic shapes. The results laid the groundwork for a unique visual language, sparking a new found interest in type creation. The success of the first production project reinforced the value of clarity, collaboration, and thoughtful iteration in bringing ideas to life.

Can you correctly match each word with its corresponding symbol?

An Ode To My Girlfriend Review

I am pretty open about the fact that I do not play video games. Ever. Since childhood, I have experienced anxiety around gaming and prefer to observe (unless it is Mario Kart or CTR). I loved “The Last of Us Part 2” in particular because it takes place in post apocalyptic Seattle. It is the sequel to the Last of Us, the action-adventure game that takes place in a world devastated by a fungal pandemic. The protagonist’s journey is fraught with dangers, including infected creatures and hostile human groups. The game combines intense action with a cinematic narrative style, exploring themes such as survival, morality, and the complexities of human relationships.

Title: Embracing Joy and Coziness: A Recap of My Holiday Break

As the whirlwind of a successful Q1 came to a close, I eagerly embraced the start of my break with a celebratory happy hour at Elliot Bay Brewing Co. Little did I know that the following days would be filled with a perfect blend of relaxation, joyous moments with loved ones, and a touch of adventure.

One of the highlights of my break was the intentional cultivation of “Hygge” at home. This Danish concept, centered around creating a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality, became the guiding principle for my days. The holiday tree stayed up, radiating festive warmth until we felt its time had come to an end. Low lighting, the soft glow of fake candles, an abundance of blankets and pillows, and the comforting aroma of coffee created an atmosphere that fostered contentment and well-being.

Spending time with friends and chosen family was at the heart of my holiday celebrations. The days were marked by shared dinners, the exchange of thoughtful gifts, and the joy of being in the company of those who matter most. These moments were a reminder of the importance of connection and the bonds that bring richness to our lives.

Quality time with my partner took various delightful forms. We affectionately call our pets “The Beasties,” and snuggling with them became a cherished activity. Entertainment came in the form of playing the game “Man-eater” and indulging in the first two seasons of the captivating show, “The Heist,” along with a couple of episodes of “Fargo.” We explored our neighborhood on leisurely walks, marveling at the enchanting holiday lights that adorned the streets. Trips to Goodwill and Third Place Books added an element of discovery and whimsy to our days.

The break also marked a special milestone for us – our 11th anniversary and 8 years of marriage. In a heartfelt celebration, we revisited the bar where we exchanged vows, reminiscing about the journey we’ve shared. It was a beautiful testament to love enduring and evolving over time.

Amidst the festivities, I found moments for personal growth and exploration. Regular visits to the gym provided a refreshing balance to the indulgent holiday treats. A digital painting project allowed me to express my creativity and immerse myself in a world of colors and shapes.

For a dash of excitement and a splash of invigoration, I embraced the chilly waters with two cold plunges. On Christmas Eve, a brave dip at Golden Gardens for a brisk 90 seconds invigorated both body and spirit. Welcoming the New Year with a plunge at Alki Beach on January 1st set the tone for a fresh start, reminding me of the beauty of embracing challenges.

The break became a canvas for experimentation as I dabbled in AI image creators, adding a futuristic and creative touch to my leisure time. Silly games like It’s Bananas! and Tapple brought laughter and light-heartedness to our days. Video chats with nieces added a touch of youthful exuberance and connected us across distances.

As the break drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the beautiful tapestry of experiences woven during this time. It was a break filled with warmth, connection, creativity, and a hint of adventure – a perfect recipe for rejuvenation and a reminder of the simple joys that life has to offer.

Title: Reveling in the Season: An Account of My Yuletide Respite

As the curtain fell on a triumphant Q1, I marked the advent of my sojourn with a convivial rendezvous at the esteemed Elliot Bay Brewing Co. Little did I apprehend that the ensuing days would unfold as a tapestry woven with strands of repose, conviviality, and a modicum of derring-do.

A particular zenith of my sojourn was the deliberate cultivation of “Hygge” within the confines of my abode. This Danish ethos, a celebration of snugness and genial camaraderie, served as the guiding tenet for my days. The festive arboreal spectacle persisted until its seasonal valediction. Subdued illumination, simulated candles casting a gentle glow, an abundance of coverlets, and the redolent embrace of coffee converged to construct an ambiance conducive to solace and felicity.

Temporal communion with comrades and chosen kin stood as the fulcrum of my festive merriments. Evenings were marked by communal repasts, the exchange of thoughtful tributes, and the sheer bliss of companionship. These interludes served as a poignant reminder of the sanctity of connection and the enriching tapestry woven by kindred spirits.

Intimate moments with my life partner unfolded in myriad delightful tableaux. Our cherished animal companions, endearingly dubbed “The Beasties,” became the focus of our snugly interludes. Diversion took form in the playful pursuit of “Man-eater” and the immersion in the chronicles of “The Heist,” punctuated by brief forays into the realm of “Fargo.” Strolls through our vicinage, aglow with the luminescence of seasonal finery, added a pastoral charm to our leisure. Perambulations to emporiums such as Goodwill and Third Place Books infused an element of whimsy into our diurnal pursuits.

The respite, moreover, heralded a commemorative juncture for us—our 11th anniversary and eight years of matrimonial bliss (bahahahaha sure). In a heartfelt celebration, we retraced our matrimonial vows in the hallowed environs of the tavern where our union was solemnized. A poignant testimony to the endurance and metamorphosis of affection over temporal arcs.

Betwixt the festive revelry, intervals for personal refinement and exploration were adroitly seized. Peregrinations to the gym provided a salutary counterbalance to the indulgent repasts of the season. A foray into the realm of digital portraiture afforded me a channel for creative expression, wherein hues and contours became my palette.

For a modicum of exhilaration and an infusion of fortitude, I availed myself to the wintry waters through two bracing cold immersions. On Christmas Eve, a resolute plunge into the briny waters of Golden Gardens invigorated both corpus and spirit for a brisk 90 seconds. Welcoming the nascent annum with a dip at Alki Beach on the morrow of New Year’s Day augured a fresh commencement, an acknowledgment of the beauty inherent in confronting challenges.

The sojourn metamorphosed into a crucible for experimentation, as I delved into the realms of AI image creation, bestowing a futuristic veneer upon my leisurely pursuits. Frolicsome diversions, such as It’s Bananas! and Tapple, effused mirth and levity into our days. Virtual colloquy with cherished nieces imparted a zestful juvenility and bridged the geographical expanse that separated us.

As the sojourn waned, I found myself in pensive contemplation of the resplendent tapestry woven by these experiences. It proved to be an interlude suffused with warmth, fellowship, creativity, and a soupçon of audacity—a panacea for the soul and a testament to the uncomplicated joys that life proffers.

Can you write a 150 word summary?

Over the break, I celebrated a successful Q1 with my dude at Elliot Bay Brewing Co. Embracing the Danish concept of “Hygge,” I created a cozy atmosphere at home with lingering holiday decorations, low lighting, and blankets. Time was spent with friends and chosen family, sharing dinners and gifts. Quality moments with my partner involved snuggling our pets, playing games, and enjoying shows like The Heist and Fargo. We celebrated our 8th anniversary at the bar where we got married. Activities ranged from walks to admire holiday lights, shopping at Goodwill and Third Place Books, to cooking meals and experimenting with AI image creators. Amidst this, I managed to squeeze in visits to the gym, worked on a digital painting, and bravely experienced two cold plunges—one on Christmas Eve at Golden Gardens and another on New Year’s Day at Alki.

I turned 26 in Tokyo

Fall of 2016 my husband and I traveled to Japan for our honeymoon and split two weeks between Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. On December 4th I turned 26th in Tokyo and I have wanted to go back ever since.

I am open to traveling most places because I am very interested in people and their stories. I’d prefer to live and work in Japan specifically because of the people, great public transportation, and nice bathrooms (literally everywhere). It is quite the opposite of living in the US, where I have never felt safe just existing. I remember leaving our flat in Kyoto one evening to wander alone and feeling completely at ease.

As a foreigner, I understand I most likely would work for a U.S. based company or organization that has satellite branches abroad.

I am interested in researching opportunities that require world building skills because I have a visual arts background and love to use my imagination to tell stories and weave lore for universes I have yet to explore.
