Assignment #7

New Technology I would buy. So…

Since I started Graphic Design program, I found that working with the big screens for designers is more comfortable. I was looking what’s there in a market, that I can fit in my budget. After I have done my research I concluded that new computer, just released in November I Mac with new M3 chip, 24‑inch display will be a good fit for my needs. I am a big fan of Apple products, because of their Displays and Design.

The M3 chip is Apple’s newest processor for Macs. It will be faster and more powerful than previous Apple silicon chips. The M3 supports more memory than prior chips. This will allow me to keep more apps/browser tabs open smoothly.

The new I Mac have improved graphics performance over older iMacs, making visual tasks snappier.

With the student discount ($100) and a better keyboard extra $30 the total will be around $2000. I will probably choose pink color for more fun, or will go with grey, which will go great with any designs in my room.

Assignment #6

How is my past experiences shaped my vision as a graphic designer?

My background as an international fashion model and singer has given me a unique perspective and insider’s view into the world of fashion. Having 15 years experience in the commercial industry, e-commerce  in China, Ukraine, Turkey, Thailand, Los Angeles, USA,  I gained first-hand experience with what works – and what doesn’t – when it comes to creative fashion aesthetics. This deep understanding of fashion shapes my creative vision as an aspiring graphic designer.

My time spent in fashion capitals around the world also exposed me to diverse design influences. I soaked in innovative street style, avant-garde editorials, and haute couture shows, synthesizing these visions into my own eclectic aesthetic. As a graphic design student, I incorporate hints of these global influences. This fusion of worldwide inspirations makes my style inherently unique.

As a model, I also learned how visuals can powerfully convey stories, personalities, and messages – all skills that lend themselves beautifully to graphic design. Where others see flat marketing materials, as a graphic design student I envision drawing out a brand narrative with thoughtful fonts, symbolic color schemes, and impactful layouts that speak to target consumers. My ability to develop stand-out visual materials comes from knowing what catches eyes from my modeling experience.

I also bring a real-world fashion industry perspective into my work. Having walked in the shoes (quite literally!) of fashion professionals, I understand their needs, challenges, and goals. This insight will allow me in my future job to craft on-point graphics and branding for fashion companies that resonate both internally and with customers. My industry knowledge makes me a uniquely valuable creative partner for fashion brand clients.

With fashion-centered training, an internationally inspired design perspective, and with huge industry experience, I have a truly one-of-a-kind creative viewpoint tailored to succeeding as a graphic designer in the fashion world. This blend of specialized knowledge and expansive influences is what sets my creative aesthetic apart now and will continue elevating my work in the future.

I am excited for my future opportunities in the fashion Industry and I am highly confident in myself and the values I can bring to my future employers.

I would love to have an opportunity to work as a graphic or product designer in Milan, Italy. Milan is one of the world’s fashion capitals and home to many major fashion houses and brands. As a graphic designer there would be opportunities to work on exciting fashion and lifestyle related projects. I found a job opening in Sunglass Hut and I think it will be great opportunity to work as a graphic designer for fashion accessories brand.

The cost of living is similar to US, 1 bed apartment cost in that area in Milan is 1800 Euro. Food is more affordable then in US. Cost of food will be around 15 Euro per lunch, 1.5 Euro per cup of Esspresso.
