With my past I would say that I’ve been a disruptor for a long time, not particularly following the norms. I’ve come out as queer first and then trans publicly both in the past and routinely fought against societal norms wherever I’ve gone. I’ve been there in standing together with communities and individuals against backlash in the past and still to this day. It has given me a sense of unwavering, personal expression, individuality, and community even.
Part of my vision is to create collaboration and acceptance for everyone in my team for future projects. It’s nothing too revolutionary but I know for sure I want to bring kindness to projects and the workplace. Knowing what it’s like to stand on the edge I want everyone in the workplace to feel welcome and be able to apply their skills to collaborative projects.
I bring a distinctive vision and style to the table that blends organic creativity, organization and teamwork seamlessly. I can follow and communicate projects and instructions clearly while bringing my own organic specialized style forth through everything while bringing everyone together too. I’m not afraid to bend the rules a little to let style shine through.
My past and experiences help me approach the program in a constructive and determined way. I’m not afraid to take problems head-on and see what happens next. I’m always ready for the challenges that lay ahead of me. I also think if you want to tackle these problems with your fellow classmates and or co-works, there is no need to stick it out alone if you can be a part of a strong community or group that communicates clearly.
This pretty much sums up what I hope to be able to do in any workplace I end up at. I know following guidelines and rules are important at times but it’s also important to know when to deviate too.
